Maple Sugar French Toast

A flavorful french toast with hints of vanilla and cinnamon...bit sized for you favorite kiddos (or grown-ups!)

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoon maple sugar
  • 8 slices bread or use sliced baguette for bite sized pieces
  • oil or butter for the pan

Instructions

  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla until combined and fluffy.
  • Over medium heat, warm the oil or butter until shimmering.
  • Dip your bread into the milk and egg mixture, flip over once, and transfer to the pan for cooking.
  • Once browned, flip the French toast.
  • Sprinkle the finished side with the maple sugar.
  • Cook until golden brown on the second side.
  • Transfer to a plate and top with fresh berries, sliced apples, or another side of your choice.
  • Drizzle with maple syrup if desired.
