Slow Cooker Warm Apple Cider

A cozy cocktail that you can make in your slow cooker. Star anise, cinnamon, and blood orange add the perfect amount of warmth to this perfect drink for a chilly day. Great served with your favorite bourbon or spiced rum.

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 1 large orange, sliced I prefer to use a blood orange because it's pretty
  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks
  • 5-6 star anise

Instructions

  • Add the apple cider, sliced orange, cinnamon sticks and star anise to your slow cooker. Warm on low for at least 2 hours stirring occasionally. 
  • Serve warm in mugs. Add bourbon or a nice spiced rum if desired. Serve with a piece of star anise and a fresh orange slice in each mug.
